Report of the races at the Subic race track, Philippines November 2005 by Andres Sta. Maria

Here are pictures from the club historic race the other weekend at the Subic racetrack. This is an airport course in the former US naval base.

That's me in the 23

We have very few "vintage' sports cars here, because of severe import controls and World War II (which destroyed most of Manila, including apparently a Bugatti Type 35). However, the Manila Sports Car Club, founded in 1967, struggles on and does manage an enthusiastic, if varied, grid. We had 22 cars on the starting line. Our friends from Japan, specially the Japan Classic Car Club (JCCA), support us in this and come over with their cars.
